Here you will find a few Frequently Asked Questions and their answers. Contact me anytime if you have any other questions! My contact information is at the bottom of each page.
What is a session like with Jessica Bruce Photography?
I like to keep my sessions relaxed and fun. I strive to capture emotional connections in my photos so I let moments happen and record them as they do. I always aim to capture both more candid shots as well as the more traditional poses. I would like to think the time goes by so quickly during a session since you are having so much fun! :)
How many images will I get?
Generally, for full sessions (1 hour or more in length) you will get 20 to 25 images via digital download. For mini sessions (15 to 20 minutes in length), you will get between 5 to 10 images (depending on the session), usually with more available for a cost of $25 per image.
Do you edit my images?
Yes, I do. I edit every image you will receive, which can include stain removal (small), blemish removal, changes to B&W (if applicable), or just general edits like cropping. For large edits (head swaps etc.), a further editing cost will apply. I do not provide the unedited images.
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you comfortable! In most cases, I would stay away from thin stripes, large prints (some exceptions certainly apply!), and neon coloured clothing. Clothing should fit nicely and be as clean as possible. You can always dress children when you arrive at your session. I am available for consultations for clients at any time and I also have clothing for children (mostly 6m - 4Y) and for my maternity clients that you can wear during sessions with Jessica Bruce Photography.
What if I am sick or the weather is not good?
Kids get sick. And sick kids are usually unhappy kids. Happy kids make the best images so please contact me the day before if you think your child is sick. We will make every attempt to reschedule at a date and time that works for us both. If the weather is not good and we have an outside session scheduled, we will be in touch prior to the session. Some bad weather can make for excellent photos!
*Due to Covid-19, I kindly ask that you get in touch if you have any potential symptoms prior to your session so we can reschedule*
How do I get my images?
I currently work with a digital gallery website that allows you to pick your favorites and download them straight from there. If you prefer something different, let's chat. I also have an array of print products if you wish to purchase these.
What is a print release?
A print release gives you permission to print and reprint any images provided to you from Jessica Bruce Photography. I am happy to see these images in your home! I work with a professional lab and I am happy to quote you on any size print (or canvas, metallic print etc). The copyright for all images remains with Jessica Bruce Photography.
What if I have a question not answered above?
Please contact me anytime. I try and respond to all communications within 24-48 hours. I look forward to hearing from you!
